The National Day Special Blog!

Assalamualaikum..

Hepi National Day! Selamat Hari MErdeka! SEmoga jiwa, semangat dan perasaan anda juga merdeka! Jadi apa erti keMErdekaan itu untuk anda? hmm.. some quite heavy question here, if u think it lightly, u won't feel the burden, if u think hard enough, u'll feel u don't do enough for your country throughout your life. or your achievement didn't contribute much to our nations' development, or your relations with others don't reflect the spirit of merdeka...

the current tv ads today which i found interesting [since when i'm at the campus, i seldom had the time to watch tv :)] is the one for merdeka celebration, which the intro about 2 old men remembering their young time at the kampung, being chased by wasp after a failed attempt to get fruit from a tree [such a memorable event], and in the end, the old men commented about the young people today who didn't have the spirit of integration and nationalism.

so who's to blame? in some places the integration is good, seems no boundaries between races, but in some, like here [but not all of them, i can assure u], the gaps between races are gotten bigger and bigger. we can see it when the uni council progressing the integration campaign throughout the students. if there are no probs of integration, why they run such campaigns? why there are gaps between us? because of the outsiders? because we don't understand each other? feel free to think about this

i've read some readers letters about national day, she/he commented that malaysians today view national day as the day for making such nonsense things..superficial things to kononnya express their nationalism, and put their names on Malaysia Book of Records. he maybe right, what can the flags on the car do after 31 august? can the tallest cake that looks like the Twin Tower full the hungry stomachs of the poor in the East Coast? they may have the spirit of nationalism during their attempt, but what happens after that? for me.. i think we should appreciate those who are really fighting for our country during the post-merdeka period .. like teachers, the armed forces, the local apprentices, and so on. they always become the unsung heroes, well that maybe because they lack commercial value, yeah.. because they don't do it because money, hopefully because of ikhlas and the spirit to make our country better.

mmm.. ok, i don't tihink my writing here will go anywhere. so here's my updates for today....
tomorrow there will be Hari Penyampaian Bengkong at Sek tek Brach Ipoh, perak. sort of gradutation day for the pesilats. my demos were cancelled [what a relief..], so tomorrow i'll just escort the juniors and maybe become the wasit for other demos..[if there are no other seniors/ranked pesilat avaiable at that time]. good luck for them and congrats for those who are getting the bengkong. it is what u learn and remember and understand is important, so that it will align with the level of the bengkong, if not... the bengkong will just become a colorized accessories on your silat uniform, always remember that. The Pendekar is an hi-intelligent warrior who has hi agility and mastered his art to the core and can control his emotions as well his manners, not a person who learn silat and has a colourful belt. hope i'll remember that too, insya-Allah.

ok that's all for my special National Day blog. see u later....
